The Spanish Society of Iranology (SEI), both directly and through its members, maintains contacts with international institutions and associations that pursue similar objectives in the field of Iranian studies.

A priority objective of the SEI is to participate in international congresses and seminars and to promote meetings between specialists in Iranology of various nationalities and research areas.

JOSÉ ANTONIO ANTÓN PACHECO

He is Professor of the Department of Aesthetics and History of Philosophy at the University of Seville. He directs the Permanent Seminary of Comparative Hermeneutics. He is the author of numerous publications on thought, hermeneutics, and comparative religions.

 

PILAR GARRIDO CLEMENTE.

She is a tenured professor at the Faculty of Arabic and Islamic Studies at the Universidad de Murcia, Doctor in Arabic Philology from the Universidad de Salamanca, Diploma in Hispanic Philology from the Universidad de Extremadura, Master in Approaches to Literary Text in the Aula de Español como Lengua Extranjera from the Instituto Cervantes and the Universidad de La Rioja, and a master’s degree in Arabic-Spanish translation from the Universidad de Castilla la Mancha and the Escuela de Traductores de Toledo. She is a researcher and expert in Andalusian Sufism. She has been the general coordinator of the Mare Nostrum campus of international excellence.

 

HEYDARI-MALAYERI

He is a Doctor in Physical Sciences, specialty in Astronomy and Space Techniques, and Doctor in Astrophysics, University of Paris VII. Diploma in Advanced Studies (D.E.A.) in Astrophysics, University of Paris VII. Member of the Observatoire de Paris.

 

MARCOS UYÁ ESTEBAN

Is Diploma in Advanced Studies and Research Sufficiency in Ancient and Medieval History and Bachelor of Arts in Social and Cultural Anthropology from the University of Granada. He is a specialist in Rome, Greece, Sassanid Persia and military history. Professor of Geography and History of Secondary Education. Member of the Spanish Society of Iranology. He has published three books and more than thirty articles in magazines such as Desperta Ferro, Historia de la Guerra, Stilus, Mundo Iranio, Historia Hoy, Laus Hispaniae or Arqueología, Historia y Viajes sobre el Mundo Medieval.

 

ALFRED G. KAVANAGH.

He is a European Doctor from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia, a Law Degree from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He is a specialist in Persian language and culture. Lawyer, expert in eastern leagues, sworn translator and specialized translation professor at the Universidad de Comillas / Madrid). Founding partner of the Spanish Society of Iranology and President of it for many years.

 

JOAQUÍN VELAZQUEZ MUÑOZ

He is a Doctor in Ancient History from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He is specialized in ancient Iran, especially in the Achaemenid period.

 

FARSHAD ZAHEDI.

He is a Doctor in Film History from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Professor of the Department of Journalism and Audiovisual Communication at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Graduate in Hispanic Philology.
